First, before we get into the meat of this post, there is one rule in this method. That rule is to NEVER use Adsense or another other PPC publishing site. Using Adsense is the growth killer of any site. Trust me. I used to be on Adsense’s titty until I grew a pair and took a risk and learned how to grow by not using Adsense.

Think about it. It has been covered many times before but it needs to be reiterated because it is so easy to fall into the trap. Every time a visitor clicks an Adsense ad, that person leaves your site, probably to never return. If they had to click on an ad, it was probably because that ad interested them and they couldn’t find what they wanted on your site. So, if you can’t get rid of Adsense, please don’t read on, because you will never truly grow your site.

Alright now, here is what I am talking about when I am saying to never lose another visitor. You need to create a network of sites when you enter a niche. I’m not saying try to take over the whole niche that you are working with, but be a resource guide with valuable information.

Explanations can be hard to follow, so I always like to try and relate it to a real world offer. So, let us look at an offer from Advaliant or Mediatrust (sorry, so used to calling it Advaliant) called Miracle Face Lift and is offer #2788. The landing page URL is Dead Sea Masque. This is a good niche to get in to because anti-aging products never die, they just change names.  Let us dive in now, step by step.

1. Grab your first domain

Obvious yes, but make sure you get something that is product specific. It is important for this domain to relate to what you are selling, because it is going to be your landing page. Get a .com, .net, or .org. Nothing else. You need to build trust and people don’t want to see anything else.  Check with your AM to see about trademark restrictions on offers. Sometimes, they will allow you to promote using their company name in the URL. Sometimes, they won’t. If they don’t and you use it, you won’t get paid. So check first.

2. Build your money site

All things lead to your money site. All the other mini-sites that you create will be made for the purpose of ultimately making money from your first site. But that doesn’t mean your other sites won’t make money. However, in order to even get traffic, you need to build your money site.

There are many different types of ways to do this. You can build a straight lander, that is just a big ad with purchase information. For this type of traffic, you won’t get a lot of people looking for information. When they find your lander, they are in purchase mode. So, your site needs to be set up that way.

I have two goals when people hit my lander. My #1 goal is to get them to whip the credit card out and buy. That makes me the most money the fastest. However, you know that conversions on a good day might be 10%, so what about the other 90%?

Goal #2 is to get their email. If I don’t hit Goal #1, #2 will be okay, because I haven’t lost them yet. If they didn’t buy right away, that is fine. You still got their contact info, meaning they are interested. Just hammer away at them slowly and you will get sales. Not just a sale. Sales.

So, how do you get their email if they don’t buy. Many different ways. Instead of installing a pop-up when they try to leave your lander to sell the lander, push a free weight loss guide or some other ebook. Make them give you their email and bam, they are still in the loop.

3. Build your network of sites

This takes awhile, but if you build a good lander, it will come naturally. Since I like to do review type of landers with lots of information, I build all the sites that I get info from. If I am pushing the Dead Sea Masque, I am building sites about plastic surgery, makeup, lotions, body wash crap and so on. Anything that an aging women would want, you need to build a site about it. Nothing special. Just 8 to 10 articles will do. But what if you have a hard time branching out to the same demographic? Here is a quick tool that I use besides my brain.

The Google Wonder Wheel

This is a cool little tool that once you type in a keyword, it gives you related keywords to that niche. If you click on that link above, it will take you to the Dead Sea Masque keyword. Check out the keywords. Those are some of the areas that you should be targeting in your ad copy/lander and build mini-sites around. Also, building and linking a ton of mini-sites to your money page is a great way to get natural search traffic, as it will help your SERPs out a ton.

4. Send traffic to your money site

Pick your poison here. As a rule of thumb, the more general the traffic, the cheaper it needs to be. Also, your expectations should be less. Building a good information site/review lander and then advertising it on Facebook as an info site will do lots of things. You will get cheap clicks, tons of traffic and you will be approved a lot faster. When you buy traffic this way, your focus is on that email address. Chances are you will not make many sales, so grabbing the email is essential. Do whatever you can to get that!

PPV works well with the beauty/diet niche, but mostly for the email. Sure, you can get a ton of traffic and you will sell product, but ultimately, for me at least, it is better to take to the soft sale. You can make so much more money off someone when you build their trust through email newsletter and tips then making a quick buck and leaving them high and dry.

5. Start the sales process

I like to keep all the newsletter blasts simple, to the point but not pushy. If you are blasting emails to subscribers from this offer, give them beauty tips, like how to apply makeup a certain way or whatever women like to read about (research, research, research!). Throw in subtle hints to products and link to your mini-sites to try and sell them on some of your stuff. Make it seem as though you don’t own those sites and try to make them seem as non-commercial as possible. .org’s are great ways to build instant trust, as it seems to be to the general public that you can trust anything with a .org in it.

6. Profit!

Just keep building and building and building. On your mini-sites, try and grab their email again. Then, build your list for that site and keep hammering away at the micro-niches. You are getting laser-targeted traffic for cheap now and it was cheap when you first bough it, so it is a win-win situation for all! Hope it helps and go make some money!

Again, I have said it before, but I will again. I will NOT out landing pages and show examples of what I mean. This is a simple method that anyone can run pretty quickly with no programming experience. All you need to do is have your own somewhat targeted domain and be able to install Wordpress and that is it. For this guide, we will set up a simple muscle building/male weight loss flog since that is a hot niche right now.

1. Buy a Domain

So simple, right? Well, yes it is, but the domain is actually important when running flogs via PPC or anywhere you have to show a display URL. The most important thing is to buy a .com. Don’t cheap out and buy a .info or anything like that. People who are buying these rebills trust a .com the most, so using a .info will result in lower conversion rates. Trust me. I have tested it.

What type of name should you pick? For flogs, I like to use a personalized name, such as bryansjourney.com or something cheesy like that. Use a name, not a keyword, as it will be much more personal to the consumer and seem much more legit this way.

Oh, and use Name.com to register your name. You get free private registration on all domain purchases and for a flog, you will want to have this protection in place. Sure, it is easy to get your name and info if you file a complaint, but most people do not understand this and it will make it much harder for them to find you.

2. Install WordPress

Another simple but important step. Oh, an while we are at it, I guess you need good shared hosting provider and I always love to use Hostgator since their first month is just a penny and they offer decent service for shared solutions. Also, Hostgator includes Fantastico, which offers easy installation of WordPress if you are technologically-impaired.

When you are installing your WordPress theme, make sure you first change the permalinks structure to just /%postname% to help with your basic site structure and even quality scores. Next, install the Thesis theme and start customizing it to your liking. It is a little pricey, but trust me, it is more then worth it. You can use other ones that are free but do not provide the SEO benefits and style that the Thesis one does.

Install a few plugins to your liking, such as Google XML Sitemaps. The Thesis theme is kickass for SEO, so you really don’t need an SEO plugin like All-in-one SEO. You don’t need to go overboard, because Thesis again offers so much.

3. Setting up Your Content

Then, Google “before/after muscle pics” and pic a picture to your liking. Not hard to find an image in here at all, trust me. However, the thing to it is to find not only a before/after pic, but a normal after pic as well. This is key, as you will want to put that normal after pic in the top right of your flog. Save the other picture until later for in your flog.

Now, for the meat of your site. Start off with an introduction of yourself and why you are writing this blog. Don’t get all spammy, just simply mention that you were overweight, out of shape or something along those lines and you were writing to simply explain how you got ripped.

Next, get into the portion of what made you want to lose weight. Girlfriend left you, health problems, whatever the reason. Make it real so that any person who is overweight and out of shape might be able to relate to you and their barriers will start to break down as this happens.

Now that you told them the reason, start to tell them how you did it. Of course mention your affiliate product that you are promoting (I suggest Acai Ripped at MediaTrust!) in a subtle but selling way. Then go to mention about a diet, a training program and stuff like that, but keep coming back to the weight product as well.

Once you have done that, make up a cheap looking chart or something that shows your weight loss and how you graphed it out. Do it in MS Excel so it looks like a normal person doing this and insert the graph into your sales page. Show it weekly over like 4 months with high points and low points, meaning don’t make it all positive. Even showing that you didn’t gain muscle mass one week isn’t going to kill you. It will make you look human and not an ad.

Finally, finish up by saying how great you are now and you have a new girlfriend, job and life is good. Add your contact information at the bottom and let people know that you free to be contacted. Then, in the comment section, write a bunch of fake comments but again, try to make them look human. Also, make sure not to include the dates on the comments, as that can throw you off big time.

4. The Upsell

Between your content and comment section, I usually include some sort of upsell. On this offer that I am currently running, I actually run two upsells. The first one converts at about 33% and the second one gets about 20% on each conversion of the main product, which I think is great. And, I sell all three about 10% to 12% of the time, which results is over $120 worth of sales. Much better then $40, right?

Want some tips on what to upsell on an offer like this? The first one is obvious that I use. I use a colon cleanser from MediaTrust on this one. However, the next offer goes along perfect with this niche but I have never seen it used on any other upsells. And this is the one that gets me an additional sale 1 out of every 5 times!

So what is my magic product? Enzyte, the natural male enhancement pill. Yeah, it is cheesy, but this name is branded in the mainstream media and they have a rebill. Perfect. So, include it in your upsell about how it helped your love life and blah blah blah and start seeing the money roll in. Also, with your whole diet, I love including it in the sidebar as well. Show your entire “formula for success” in the right sidebar to reinforce the idea. Find the Enzyte offer on MotiveInteractive for a new approach on the upsell.

5. Little Details

Make sure to add certain things to your Pages section of the flog, such as a Contact page, Privacy page, About me page and a Sitemap link as well. These little things will help with Google and their quality score. Also, one thing that I like to do when setting up a flog is to buy a bunch of articles, like 10, that are all original, and set them up on my domain. I then place a small link in the right corner where most people won’t look. What this does is help make your site a bit more legit to the PPC platform but by hiding it, it still keeps your site looking personal to customers.

Male acai is hot right now, as I have posted already on my last money making campaign. However, PPV or CPV is not the only way to be making money with this hot product. Let us jump into the flog/feview site with PPC.

First off, I will talk about traffic sources, which is always important. There are cheap keywords out there, but they are long tail of course and don’t get a ton of volume, but they are winners. Remember when doing your keyword research, think out of the box. Read the landing page and think like the customer. Why do they want this product and what type of searches would you do if you were researching this? Also, how many different ways can you bring a person to an offer?

Using the search PPC platform is always the easiest but not always the most profitable. What I love to do is run ads on the content network. When I run ads on the content network, I target sites and I don’t let Google run my ads at random. Random AdSense sites are usually crap and have crap visitors who are not looking to buy. I do my research for high quality forums and blogs that have real comments on them and then target them.

How do you find these sites though? There are tons of them out there and the best thing to do is guess what? Create a keyword list first, just like you were if you were planning out a PPC campaign. Then, start typing that keyword list into Google and bam, you start to find high quality sites.

Ok, now that you have a basis on how to find this type of traffic, let me get you started on the feview page(fake review, hahaha…. I know not, funny!). Anyways, it is pretty simple really, especially if you ever have run a review site before. As far as killer male acai offers, I use my favorite networks because of the payouts the love I get, MediaTrust and MotiveInteractive. Here is a list of the offers so you can find them easier.

I am not going to give out any feview landers or anything like that because I don’t believe in outing successful landers, but you can easily build one if you do some research or drop a few bucks to get one designed for you.

BUT, if you really want to MAKE EXTRA MONEY, here is a nifty little tip that I have been using with some success on my feview pages and flogs (did I just say nifty?). You can include an upsell on your page to include a colon cleanser with it and that will work well. In fact, I suggest that but make sure you split test with placement and wording. However, my extra money maker is upselling an Enzyte trial(#50901 on Motive). Yes, those cheesy “male enhancement” commercials that you see on TV have a good affiliate program. Plus, their name is well branded with that goofy Bob character, so men actually feel comfort in seeing that, I think.

And guess what? Out of every 5 conversions, I get an Enzyte upsell as well. That is $30+ extra on every sale that I make by just adding this. And I only found out by split testing and thinking out of the box.
